In
these impersonal days, where loyalty is regarded as irrelevant and staff are
often treated with the same respect as a disposable plastic bag, Prosource stand
out as a beacon of decency.
When IT worker Karl McLennan was nearly killed on a night out, he spent weeks
in a coma.
And it took him 12 years before he was ready to work again.
Remarkably, his old bosses kept a job opening for him. Now Karl is back on the
payroll at Prosource, where he is highly thought of by boss Craig Adam who talent-spotted
him in the first place.
In the vast majority of workplaces, Karl would have been long forgotten.
Most employers would not even have considered allowing him to return to work
after suffering such traumatic injuries and spending such a long period off
through ill health.
The world of computers may have changed in the days since Karl's accident but
the team at Prosource show that human kindness hasn't.
