After 12 months plus of planning, prosource.IT has opened for business in America, initially serving the Houston & Dallas areas. Two members of UK staff have relocated to Houston and are currently working alongside a group of prosource.it US employees. Approximately $1M USD of work has been secured for the rest of 2008, and proposals for a further $720K of project work have been submitted.

The individual appointed as our US Operations Director is Mr Ken Jensen: profile below.

Although a Scot, Ken is now a US Citizen and has lived in America since 1995. He joins us from Aruba Networks (a Silicon Valley, based enterprise wireless networking and security company - #2 market position to Cisco); where he was Director of Product Management. In his over 4 years tenure at Aruba; he defined and brought to market
much of the company’s existing 802.11 wireless product range and carries a deep technical and market knowledge in enterprise wired and wireless (indoors and outdoors) networking, Mesh, Radio Frequency (RF) and security.

Prior to Aruba Networks, Ken held the role of director of product management at Ericsson, where he managed a team responsible for delivering various wireless IP networking and Media Gateway platforms as part of Ericsson’s strategic packet services strategy for 3G UMTS and CDMA.

He has also directed a regional technical marketing and product management team for US Robotics (acquired by 3Com) in Asia Pacific; where he was responsible for defining the technical requirements, development of feature sets and supporting sales activity for carrier class Remote Access Systems sold to telecom and ISP operators in the region.

Prior to relocating to the US, Ken worked with prosource.it directors Stewart Proctor & Steve Mackie at Computacenter.
