In layman's terms ISO 9001: 2000 is a globally recognised set of guidelines that can be applied to a company's management, regardless of a its size & operations. These principals drive a company to focus on providing a quality product (in the case of prosource.it, the staff on client sites) and continually improving the system (by measuring staff / customer satisfaction, internal audits, management meetings, management reviews etc…)
Over the past 6 months staff in the company headquarters - “The Hub” – have planned, executed & maintained a full Quality Management System (QMS) from scratch, using the ISO guidelines. Even before the initial audit for accreditation it became apparent that the new management system had produced some notable improvements, particularly with how smoothly the Hub has been running with the addition of new procedures.
On Wednesday 29th January 2008 the QMS was fully audited by BSI (the British Standards Institute). In their closing meeting the auditors let us know that they had decided to put prosource.it forward for certification and - once their bosses approved the audit report - prosource.it received its ISO 9001:2000 certificate.
The
attainment of the ISO certificate will open new doors, giving prosource.it access
to previously unavailable clients & markets; however, even though the initial
audit has been passed the company will still focus on continual improvement.
