Although his introduction to computing was with
an Amstrad CPC back in 1985, it wasn’t enough to put Miles
off computing for life! Leaving Aberdeen University in 1996, Miles
began work as a Visual Basic programmer, developing a vehicle
tracking applications in at-the-time fledging GPS tracking market.
Evolving from this, his skills now lie firmly within the infrastructure
space. His strength is in the architecture, implementation and
maintenance of both Wintel-based and virtual infrastructures.
As well as relevant vendor qualifications, Miles has infrastructure
experience from a wide variety of sectors including both Fortune
100 companies as well as the public sector. He is well versed
with the server and storage products from the industry standard
hardware vendors HP and Dell. In his spare time, Miles is a performance
car enthusiast who enjoys tinkering with his classic BMW 635CSi.
Miles is married and lives in Aberdeen.
