Graham’s career in IT began way back in
1988 when 8MHz PCs capable of producing 4 colours at 320 x 200
res. were considered cutting edge. He joined the Prosource team
back in 1996 (then Outsource IT). His skills lie in infrastructure
architecture design and he is currently working at BSkyB in the
Business Systems Design team. This role covers a wide range of
technologies, for example, hosting of services on virtualised
infrastructure, simulcast streaming of live broadcast channels
to PC/Mac/Mobile devices (branded as Sky Player) and contributing
to designs that allow highly available business critical systems
to be created. Prior to this position, Graham has worked for various
clients on many projects such as: MS Windows front and back office
refresh & enablement of a major European data centre consolidation
by migrating client side apps onto a farm of servers running Citrix
application virtualisation products. Away from work, Graham gets
the most of his green fees by attacking fairways, is not shy of
frequenting a public house or three and enjoys family life with
his wife and son.
