Stewart Proctor

A founding Director of, Stewart graduated with a BSc in Biochemistry from Aberdeen University and Diploma in Management Studies from Robert Gordon’s University. After 12 years account managing blue chip corporate customers at Computacenter, Stewart decided to look for new challenges and left to startup an IT services company, Promac, with Steve Mackie in late 1999. In the years following its merger to form in June 2003, he assumed the Commercial Director role whilst continuing to manage global IT infrastructure projects for prosource’s customers. In 2011, in support of the company’s growth, Stewart has taken on the responsibility of the role of Managing Director.

Stewart lives in Aberdeen with his wife Susan and their three children. His outside interests include fishing, skiing and motor sport.


Steve Mackie


A founding director of, Steve graduated with a BSc in Computing Science from Aberdeen University. After 12 years providing technical and project management services to blue chip corporate customers at Computacenter, Steve decided to look for new challenges and left to startup an IT services company, Promac, with Stewart Proctor in late 1999. In the years following its merger to form in June 2003, he assumed the Operational Director role whilst continuing to manage global IT infrastructure projects for prosource’s customers. He is also a director of the US and Canada companies and in 2011, he shifted into a corporate role, assuming Board Level accountability for the Group finances and strategic development.

Steve lives in London with his wife Jill and outside work they enjoy an active lifestyle that includes running, skiing and scuba diving.


Alan Cowie

A founding director of, Alan studied a BSc in Engineering Technology at the Robert Gordon Institute of Technology in Aberdeen. Alan then spent 21 years in the Motor Trade before joining Outsource IT as Operations Manager in 1999. In the years following the merger to form in 2003, Alan assumed the role of Financial Director, dealing with the company’s fiscal matters and tax issues.

Alan and his wife Mairead live just outside Aberdeen and are the proud parents of three children and two grandchildren. Outside of work he still holds a keen interest in vehicles, and enjoys riding motorcycles and attending biking events, as well as skiing and travel.


Stuart Houston

Stuart graduated from Strathclyde University in 1981 with a degree in Maths and saw that computing looked like leading a technological revolution in business, so decided to launch his career with a computer programming job in the Oil and Gas industry with Glasgow based BNOC. After 28 years of working in IT for BNOC/Britoil/BP, he decided to try life on the supplier side of the IT fence and joined in early 2010.

He is now loving working for a fast-growing, dynamic, responsive, person-centric IT services organisation with a great reputation in the field and an ever-growing list of impressive clients!

When not at work, he’s a keen golfer, plays tennis, jogs, skis, acts/sings/dances with a local amateur dramatic society and spends the rest of his time with his wife and two daughters.


David Beaney

David has known the management of for a large number of years and was delighted when they asked him to join as a non executive advisor to the Board in early 2012.

David started working for BP in 1977 and held a variety of commercial roles before becoming head of strategy for BP’s downstream business. In 1993 David moved into IT as the Head of Information Systems (CIO) for BP downstream.  In this and subsequent IT management roles David led, managed or renegotiated most of BP’s largest IT outsourcing deals until he retired from BP in 2005.  David maintains a keen interest in outsourcing and business strategy and provides consulting advice in these fields.

David lives near London with his wife Maggie and their two children. Outside work David is a keen sailor, skiier and golfer..


Sandy Clark

Sandy originates from Aberdeen attended Aberdeen Grammar School before successfully completing a four-year course in Building Economics at Robert Gordon Institute of Technology (Now RGU) and became an Associate of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (ARICS)

He joined AMEC in 1977 and in twenty seven years with the business has held various management positions helping develop the business into a major international Oil and Gas contractor with a turnover in Aberdeen of over £1.5bn and 12,000 employees.

In 1996 he left AMEC and completed the buyout of the Rigblast Group and became CEO of the Group. He rejoined AMEC in 2004 and is currently the Director for Strategy and Growth for Europe based in Aberdeen

Over the years he has held various non executive roles with developing SME’s and is currently Non Executive Chairman for Flexlife, an industry leader in flexible pipes/risers.

Sandy has an excellent knowledge of the UKCS and Global Oil and Gas business as well as having considerable experience in dealing with corporate acquisitions, mergers, sales and integrations.

He is married to Yvonne and has two grown up sons one of which, Stephen, is also with His interests outside work include supporting the local football team, golf and shooting.
