Summer 2009: Between projects and contracts we often have several people on what the company calls 'bench time'. It's a bit like limbo for tour staff because they're awaiting their next assignment, but it's not real holidays so they usually end up sitting at home by the phone doing nothing and getting bored! For this situation, we've made up a list of charities that they can contact during this time and help out should they wish to do so - whether it's actual IT work, or just general volunteering - during their bench time. Alternatively charities can contact us and enquire about our spare resources, should they be looking for an additional pair of hands"
